Sarah Yousaf

Sarah Yousaf graduated with specialization in sculpture from the National College of Arts in the year 2014. I belong to a city, Multan which is very rich in its Culture and craft. My work on its most basic level evolved with my interest in the texture of skin whether of a human or an animal. Skin is one of the most prominent feature that distinguishes between one person or the other.Skin from the animal bodies to human forms make them look like burnt bodies and fossils which was done deliberately with the selection of animal skin colors. The work evolved with the traditional art practice which was done on camel skin lamp making techniques.Animal skins taking the form of a human body comments on the changing of the identity.My sculptures shows human bodies with the animalistic features.
