Overview of application

  1. Applicants must be over the age of 18 and living in Karachi.
  2. Artist must complete the Residency Application Form below with all the necessary attachments requested. The deadline to apply is the 15th May 2026. The residency begins on the 1st of June 2026. All works for the residency must be completed 1st of July 2026
  3. The selected artist can be provided with up to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 for their artwork creation during the on-site installation.
  4. The artist is required to engage with the audience and be open to discussions about the creative process and the theme of love.
  5. The on-site installation must be accessible to the public throughout the duration of the residency.
  6. Upon completion of the residency, the artist is expected to submit a written reflection on their experience and the impact of their work on the audience.

Residency Prompt:

This residency programme tasks the artist with creating an on-site installation that encapsulates the artist’s definition of love and hope. This initiative aims to counter the prevailing negativity in the world by providing a transformative experience for the audience, fostering feelings of love and hope. Artists are encouraged to use various mediums and forms of artistic expression to convey their interpretation of love and hope.
