Fernando Martín Godoy

Fernando Martin Godoy (b. Zaragoza, Spain, 1975; lives and works in London) has developed his practice mainly around painting to then extend to other disciplines such as sculpture, drawing, or collage. His work draws from reality, often utilizing found images and art history to create a personal interpretation of the world. Themes of silence, information gaps, and dark areas of memory are central to his practice, while geometric elements and subtlety play key roles in his visual language. Godoy’s work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and art spaces, including CAB in Burgos, Centro Guerrero in Granada, White Box in New York, Fondation Suisse in Paris, and the Royal Academy of Arts in London. His works are part of private collections in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, and the United States, and are present in a good number of Spanish public collections.
