Kanwal Tariq

Kanwal Tariq is a Visual/Performance Artist from Faisalabad, Pakistan. She did MA(Hons.)Visual Arts from National College of Art, Lahore,2016 and Bachelor in Fine arts(painting) with distinction from The Institute of Art and Design, GCUF, Faisalabad, 2013.Currently, she works at Zahoor ul Akhlaq Gallery, National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan. Kanwal's works resolve around installations, videos and performances. She exhibited her work Nationally and Internationally such as ''3rd CineMare Int'l Ocean Film Festival Kiel 2018'' Germany, ''body becoming'' in collaboration with Olomopolo, Lahore, 2018-''NordArt 2018'' at the Kunstwerk Carlshütte, Büdelsdorf, Germany- Performance ‘‘Ephemeral Presence’’ Performance Art Show ''Mix Tape (1)'' at Canvas Gallery Karachi, Pakistan, 2018- ''Visit to Home'' a group show at Faisalabad,2018 - House Artist Residency 2018, Lahore, Pakistan- Performance titled ''any last words'' for the 1st Karachi Biennale 2017, Karachi- Represented Pakistan in Caravanserai Regional Festival, Kabul, March 2017 and painted mural along with the Afghani and Indian Artists, Kabul, Afghanistan- ''Premise of Promise’’ a group show at Canvas Gallery, Karachi, Pakistan,2017- ''Massacre of innocents'' Group exhibition held at PNCA, Islamabad in collaboration with Shakir Ali Museum and Artist Association of Punjab, PNCA, Islamabad,Pakistan,2015.
