Sehr Jaleel

Sehr Jalil is a contemporary visual artist, researcher, writer, educationist and thinker. Her practice challenges the notions of time, place, space, memory or the perfect place through an intent personal trajectory. Jalil’s recent solo show STRAY REFLECTIONS 23rd Dec 2018 – 6th January 2019 was exhibited at Javed Manzil, Allama Iqbal museum Lahore. Jalil’s recent participatory work has been exhibited at the European Manifesta Nomadic Biennale 2018 at Palermo Italy. She is a lecturer in the Cultural Studies department National College of Arts, Lahore, since 2015. She did her MA Visual Arts, 2014 and BFA, painting major, 2006 from NCA, Lahore. Jalil contributes her research to international journals, writes for Art Now Pakistan and is a core member of the Awami Art Collective since its birth in 2015.
