Wajahat Ali

Wajahat Ali, born in 1979 in Lahore, a city in south eastern Pakistan, received his BFA in Painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2004, continuing up with MA Honor in Visual Art from NCA Lahore in 2013. He has been doing some very experimental and site specific works too. Wajahat uses humor and the element of surprise to resolve complex issues in his work. Wajahat is the great grandson of Ustad Allah Baksh. Like his grandfather Wajahat’s art is full of charming characters and personal stories of how those individuals relate to their environment. He has exhibited his work in Solo and Group shows in Pakistan, America and England. Now he is teaching as Assistant professor Institute of art and design Faisalabad and currently lives and works in Lahore.
