From The Mountains To The Sea
VM Art Gallery is proud to present ‘From the Mountains to the Sea’, a much-anticipated solo exhibition by Niamat Nigaar. The exhibition opens on Saturday, November 5th,2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue till Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, with gallery timings from 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday.
Niamat’s work delves into the intimate relationship between materials, narratives, and the communities he engages with. In this exhibition, his exploration becomes deeply personal. As the artist himself describes it:
"From the Mountains to the Sea traces memory, labour, and breath. Through drawings, patchwork, film, and photographs, I follow not only my path but the pulse of communities who lived, worked, and dreamed beside me. Every drift of paint, patch, stitch, and excavating layers holds their presence, a slight echo of mountains meeting the shore of the Arabian Sea."
For this exhibition journey alongside the artist, reflecting on the intertwined histories of place, people, and the passage of time.
