Turab

18th April 2026 - 13th May 2026

Art Gallery presents ‘TURAB’, a showcase of new works by Shahzeb Mughal, continuing his ongoing series initiated in 2021 in Belfast, United Kingdom. Mughal extends his exploration of social and environmental concerns through a conceptual, structural, and sculptural approach.

with everyday domestic objects, Mughal deconstructs and recontextualises them to reveal the conditions and values embedded in ordinary life. He encases objects in concrete, producing forms that appear buried, suspended, or silenced. This process reflects the weight of materialism in contemporary life, where the pursuit of possessions can overshadow human connection, empathy, and spiritual awareness. Concrete functions both as a preservative and an obstruction, fixing objects into place while rendering them inaccessible and mute.

exhibition opens on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will continue until Wednesday, May 13, 2026, with gallery hours from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday.
