Lands Beyond The Veil
VM Art Gallery is proud to present ‘Lands Beyond the Veil’, a deeply spiritual and personal exploration by Shanzay Subzwari. Through her contemplations on the soul and its journey beyond the physical world, shaped in part by a period of personal loss, Shanzay takes us into the depths of her imagination and inner landscape, creating mystical, fantastical realms where the soul resides before its reunion with the Divine.
Marking a return to large-scale acrylic painting after more than a decade, this series draws upon her training in Mughal miniature painting while expanding into a hybrid visual language that oscillates between the detailed and the dreamlike. The compositions navigate a space between the real and the surreal, allowing for a fluid interplay of narrative, symbolism, and abstraction. The exhibition opens on Saturday, March 28th,2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue till Saturday, April 28th, 2026, with gallery timings from 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday.
