VM Art Gallery presents a one-day workshop, Make Y

VM Art Gallery presents a one-day workshop, Make Your Mark: An Introduction to Linocut Printing by Fatimah Sohail. This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the expressive possibilities of relief printing. The workshop focuses on mark making as a visual language encouraging participants to explore how lines, textures and carved gestures can become tools for personal expression.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of linocut printmaking from translating an idea into a design, carving techniques and understanding positive and negative spaces to inking and hand printing their own prints. Through guided exercises and experimentation the workshop encourages both beginners and creative practitioners to develop confidence in working with carving tools and to discover the tactile and meditative process of printmaking.

Date: 25th July, Saturday
Time: 12 pm- 6 pm
Age: 13+
Registration Fee: 4,500/- (All materials included)

The show’s opening took place on Saturday, July 18th, 2026

Together they weave unique narratives to express their definition of these profound human experiences, inviting contemplation and connection. The spaces created call upon your heart to expand and embark on a journey of transcendence.

The exhibition continues till Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 with gallery timings from 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday.

VM Art Gallery is pleased to present Always, from the Heart, Volume II, the second edition of its residency programme, featuring captivating works and immersive installations by Ahmed Khan and Nabita Zafar, created during their six-week residency at VM Art Gallery.

The show’s opening will take place on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 from 5 pm to 8 pm and will continue till Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 with gallery timings from 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday.

Visitors are invited to experience and immerse themselves in works that encourage connection and reflection on the enduring presence of love and hope.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Wahab Jaffer. Wahab Jaffer, a remarkable artist and lifelong collector and patron of Pakistani art, dedicated his life to championing its history.
He played an integral role in our mission to preserve and promote Pakistani art. He believed the stories of Pakistani artists deserved to be shared, and his extraordinary collection stands as an invaluable record of the country's modern art heritage. His commitment to ensuring that future generations would know and appreciate this rich artistic heritage continues to guide our work.
He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire Pakistan's artistic landscape for generations to come, and we are deeply grateful for that.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

We are thrilled to introduce Nabita Zafar, one of the talented artists joining us for Always, from the heart Volume II at VM Art Gallery.

Nabita Zafar is a contemporary multidisciplinary visual artist and writer from Hyderabad, Pakistan. She graduated with honors from the Center of Excellence in Art & Design (CEAD), MUET. Working across painting, installation, immersive environments, sound, and participatory practices, her work explores memory, emotional landscapes, urban existence, climate anxiety, and the human search for connection. As a writer at heart, Zafar approaches each artwork as the construction of a distinct visual language where words become secondary to atmosphere, sensation, and emotional resonance. Her work has been exhibited nationally at VM Art Gallery, Full Circle Gallery, Shakir Ali Museum, Anna Molka Gallery, and the Artist’s Association of Punjab.

We are thrilled to introduce Ahmed Khan, one of the talented artists joining us for Always, from the heart Volume II at VM Art Gallery.

Ahmed Khan, also known as Ahmed Ibn-e-Sakeena, was born in Teertaj, Awaran, Balochistan. He graduated in 2016 with a specialization in Miniature Painting and was awarded a Silver Medal for his outstanding performance in his batch. In 2019, he completed his M.A. (Hons.) in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore.
His artworks have been exhibited in various cities across Pakistan, including Karachi, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Lahore, Islamabad, Turbat, Hub Chowki, Awaran, Lasbela, Quetta, and Gwadar. Internationally, his work has also been showcased in Kathmandu, Nepal, and Berlin, Germany.
Alongside his visual art practice, Ahmed Khan is widely recognized for his contributions to the performing arts and holds the distinction of being the first Kathak dancer from Balochistan. He is currently teaching Kathak at VM Art Gallery, Karachi. His multidisciplinary practice brings together performing arts, miniature painting, and experimental mixed-media approaches, making his work diverse and multidimensional in nature.
